Bernadette Cooper is the first African American woman to shatter barriers and make history by forming the first multiracial platinum-selling all-girl band. She is the founding member, producer, songwriter, and visionary force behind the legendary all-female band Klymaxx. With her fearless imagination, sophisticated funk, and unmistakable sense of theater, Klymaxx created a groundbreaking sound and image that produced such enduring classics and hits as Billboard R&B chart hits “The Men All Pause” (#5), “Meeting in the Ladies Room” (#4), “Sexy” (#18), and “Divas Need Love Too” (#14). Klymaxx was firmly cemented in pop-music history by the group's Top 3 hit “I Miss You.”

Bernadette also created, wrote, and produced the girl group Madame X, whose hit “Just That Type of Girl” reached #7. Today, Klymaxx featuring Bernadette Cooper® carries that extraordinary musical legacy forward — bolder, more glamorous, and more theatrical than ever.
